Casing Hot Spot Repair

Unifrax European manufacturing facilities are located in France, UK and Germany. All Unifrax manufacturing facilities have achieved current ISO certifications and comply with all appropriate quality standards expected for production of high temperature insulation.

The Unifrax Isofrax product is an advanced, soluble fibre insulation material which has been mixed with binders to create a material with a paste-like consistency which can be trowelled onto surfaces or injected into cavities to provide a hotspot repair solution. The injection process can be completed offline or online using our thermographic imaging camera. Intech Power Service Limited offers our customers a complete turnkey solution from an initial thermographic survey and report, through to preparation and injection of Isofrax material.

Isofrax technical details

  • Low thermal conductivity (at mean temp. of 600°C - 0.09 W/mK)
  • Use limit 1200°C
  • Melting point >1500°C
  • Wet density 1090kg/m3
  • Dry density 270 kg/m3
  • Low shrinkage
  • Good adhesion
  • Abrasive resistant to flue gas velocities up to 20 m/s
